Querix Evaluation License Limitations.

Querix Evaluation License Limitations.

In this article, the evaluation license limitations on an unlicensed Hydra or Lycia package are indicated.

runtime (5): This type of license impacts on the amount of 4GL processes that can be run simultaneously. It is verified at runtime. With the evaluation mode, 2 runtimes are allowed in the system.

fgl_compiler (5): This type of license is verified during the complication of a 4GL program. If it is not detected at compiletime, the program will exit after 256 keypresses executed at runtime.

oracle (5)/ informix (5)/ sserver (5)/ db2 (5): these types of license are required for 4GL applications that interact with databases. The indicated licenses are verified at compiletime. If not detected at compiletime, the program will exit after 1000 SQL statements executed at runtime. You will get -998 error.

gui: this type of license is required when running applications within Phoenix thin client. It is verified at compiletime.  If the GUI license is not detected at compiletime, the program will exit after 100 keypresses executed at runtime.

chimera: this type of license is required when running applications within Chimera thin client. It is verified at compiletime.  If the Chimera license is not detected at compiletime, the program will exit after 100 keypresses executed at runtime.

batch: this type of license impacts on the amount of 4GL processes that can be run simultaneously. It is verified at compiletime. If the Batch type is detected and the environment variable HYDRA_GUI=batch is set, the process will not consume a runtime license. If the Batch type is not present and HYDRA_GUI=batch is set,  you will get error while running the application.
