General Preferences: Web Browser

In this Preferences page, you can specify the default browser that will be used to run your applications:

You can choose between two options:

→use the internal web browser - in this case, applications will be run by the built-in browser within LyciaStudio:

→ use external web browser - applications will be run by a specified browser outside LyciaStudio:

By default, the list of external options includes all the browsers installed in your system:

The list of the external browsers is updated automatically when you restart LyciaStudio.

Thus, you have to restart LyciaStudio after installing a new browser to be able to specify this browser as the necessary external browser in Preferences.

However, you can change the list of external browsers:

New...	adds a new browser to the list: For this purpose, you: enter the name of the new browser, specify the location of the web browser executable, and list the necessary parameters (optional):
Edit...	allows changing the browser name, location, and parameters when necessary:
Remove	removes the selected web browser from the list
Search	allows searching for web browsers installed in the system but not listed:
