MinGW linker is added to Lycia package in order to boost Lycia 3 performance by applying native application cache on the server side. However, Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 and later (Full Version or free Express) can still be used for native-cache purposes.
Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio doesn't support Windows 7 without Service Pack. The list of the operating systems supported by Visual Studio 2017 Express for Windows Desktop can be found here. |

Development system requirements:
§ min 8GB RAM
§ 2-core CPU
§ SSD
Production system requirements
We recommend our customers to use the following formula to define server memory requirements: (this is just an average/rough estimate/formula)
number of running programs (processes) x 100Mb ≥ 6 GB
For example,
50 Users (each running an application process) will make:
50 x 100Mb = 5GB RAM + 1GB for Lycia Web Application Server (Jetty) = 6 GB RAM (at least)
+ optional memory for LyciaBIRT and Report Engine – please, check the requirements for corresponding tools
