In this Preferences page, you can modify the tracing options dynamically:
Some plug-ins allow OSGi tracing when configured in the necessary way: This means that they will be logged after you change their options in the .options file.
Tracing options can be changed statically (need restarting) or dynamically (no restarting is required).

Tracing output can be forwarded to a trace file or to the standard output stream.
When sending the output to file, you can:
specify the location where it will be saved to;
number of trace file stored to prevent your system from over-crowding (the older files are deleted after this number is reached), and
trace file size to prevent the system from creating excessively large files.
A new trace file is created every time when the plug-in is started.
Not all plug-ins write their trace messages to the output file. Some plug-ins instead write to console output or perform other tasks.
