Lycia licensing

To use Lycia, you need the license. You can either use our trial license or buy the full license from Querix or Querix authorized resellers.

Trial license has a number of critical restrictions which is described below. As to the full licenses, they differ depending on the number of runtime seats available and the validity period.

This section covers both installing and activating trial and full licenses for Windows and Linux. For any further information, please, contact the Querix support team via our service desk or by email (support@querix.com).

Particular steps you will follow to install and activate a trial license depend on whether your computer has Internet connection.

Please, remember that trial license is the license which is available to anyone who has downloaded and installed Lycia free of charge.

Trial license has a number of restrictions:

it can be claimed only once for each working machine;
it grants 2 seats for each service from the package: This means that 2 runtime seats are available, and up to 2 4GL processes can be run simultaneously;
it is valid for 6 weeks (= 42 days) starting from the day it was claimed;
it is node-locked which means that all the applications compiled with this license can be run only by the application server located on the same machine and cannot be transferred to any other application server.

Please, also pay attention that Lycia trial licenses are supplied together with a trial license for Querix 4GL Analyzer.
