To meet your needs, we constantly work to improve Querix products.
This means that Lycia documentation is developing as well.
In case you have found a certain dissonance between the provided information and the actual behavior of Lycia 3 and/or your applications, please, let us know about this via documentation@querix.com so that we can introduce the necessary changes to our documentation.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
Before LyciaWeb can be used, web application service must be run. The web application server is installed together with LyciaStudio, it starts automatically after the installation and, later, at each computer launch. LyciaWeb Application Server is based on Apache Tomcat service.
Querix web application server does not prevent you from having other web servers such as Tomcat, WebSphere, etc, and running them at the same time. However, if there is another version of Apache Tomcat service running on the machine, it is possible, that you will have to start the Querix LyciaWeb Application Server manually from the Services menu:
On Lycia installation you can check whether LyciaWeb was successfully installed and whether it is running using the web application server management page. To do this follow the instructions below.
Step 1 |
Go to http://localhost:9090
|
Step 2 |
Click the Tomcat Manager link
|
Step 3 |
Enter the login and the password. By default, they are admin and admin. These can be changed (for the instructions, how this can be done, see the Apache Tomcat documentation).
|
Step 4 |
Check the list of the applications installed on the Web Application server, LyciaWeb must appear in it. If it is running, it should have "true" value in the Running column. If it is not, you can try to launch it using the Start link on the right:
