Theme Syntax

 

Besides Lycia Theme Designer, LyciaStudio incorporates an XML editor which allows 4gl developers to trace the changes added to theme files and edit user themes as a text or XML file:

 

 

The text theme file has the same structure of the .qxtheme file, and it can be generalized in the following diagram:

Even though theme files can be changed as text one, we do not recommend doing this unless you are a profound Lycia user and have a considerable experience of such modifications.

Any changes introduced to theme files without proper understanding of their structure and thorough consideration of possible outcomes can cause unexpected runtime effects beyond the scope of the Querix team.
