To determine the end-user format of the date, use the DBDATE environment variable. If the value is not set, the default MDY4 value is applied. For time, the 24 hour format will be used.
The date and time in the Calendar and TimeEditField widgets are displayed according to the client locale.
The date and time display formats, defined by the USING statement or FORMAT field attribute will take precedence over DBDATE settings. If mmm/ddd markers are used to display month and day, the names will be displayed in English regardless of the current locale settings.
