Window functions

This chapter covers the 4GL built-in functions which apply to windows declared implicitly by means of the OPEN WINDOW statement or by means of the built-in functions.

It also contains the descriptions of the methods used with the variables of the WINDOW data type.

• fgl_getwin_width() returns the width of the current window (in columns)
• fgl_getwin_height() returns the height of the current window (in rows)
• fgl_getwin_x() returns the column at which the current window was opened
• fgl_getwin_y() returns the row at which the current window was opened
• fgl_settitle() sets the window title
• fgl_setsize() changes the default size of the window
• fgl_winsize() returns the size of the window in row and columns
• fgl_window_open() opens the window in the specified position, of the required size and with the required name (is synonymous to OPEN WINDOW)
• fgl_window_clear() clears the contents of a window (even if it is not the current window)
• fgl_window_close() closes the window
• fgl_window_current() sets the focus to the specified window
• fgl_window_getoption() returns the information about the current window
