General Preferences
This group of preferences - General preferences - include all the preferences concerning the look and feel of LyciaStudio, e.g., perspectives, views, editors, and keys:

In the General preferences page, you can change these settings of LyciaStudio:
specify whether time-consuming operations
will be performed in the background;
If yes (= checked), then such operations will run in background, and a 4gl developer will be able to perform other tasks.
If no (= unchecked), then such operations will run under the direct control of a Lycia user, and he/she will not be able to perform other tasks.
specify whether to keep the perspective/view/editor
dialog open after calling them with a key combination;
If yes (= checked), then the dialog will close as soon as the key combination is released and the highlighted option is activated.
If no (= unchecked), then the dialog will be still open after the key combination is released and the highlighted option is activated.
specify whether to display the current
Java heap status or not;
If yes (= checked), then an indicator will appear at the bottom line of LyciaStudio showing the current Java heap status:
specify how the resources will be opened.
With Double click, the resource will be selected by a single clicking and opened in the editor by a double clicking.
With Single click + Select on hover, the resource will be selected at the mouse hovering over it and opened in the editor by a single clicking;
With Single click + Open when using arrow keys, the resource will be selected and opened in the editor by the arrow keys.
