Console view

Console view shows progress and output of different processes:

In the Console view you can see:

Console view also shows the runtime display to console (DISPLAY) when an application is run from LyciaStudio via LyciaDesktop:

By default, these conventions are used to give Lycia user some elementary information:

Errors and warnings indicated in the Console view are displayed in detail in the Problems view.

Console view toolbar

You can perform these actions from the toolbar of the Console view:

Clear Console

clears the currently active console

Scroll Lock

enables/disables the scroll lock in the current console

Word Wrap

when enabled, breaks too long lines in the current console

Pin Console

pins the current console do that it will remain above all other consoles

Display Selected Console

allows selecting one console in the list of the consoles:

Open Console

opens a new console:

You can choose one of five console types - standard (aka NEW Console View), C/C++ Build Console, Java Stack Trace Console, Host OSGI Console, CVS, and Xtext Build.

Minimize

minimizes the view

Maximize

maximizes the view

Context menu of the Console view

You can perform these actions from the context menu of the Console view:

Cut

copies the selected text to the clipboard and removes it from the console (is disabled)

Copy

copies the selected text to the clipboard

Paste

pastes the text from the clipboard to the console (is disabled)

Select All

selects all the content in the current console

Find/Replace

opens the Find/Replace window:

Open Link

opens the hyperlink as a tab in the Internet browser

Clear

clears the current console

Scroll Lock

enables/disables the scroll lock

Word Wrap

when enabled, breaks too long lines in the current console
