Importing from the local repository
Even though you can work with your projects directly in the GIT repository, you can also import the necessary projects to your workspace.
To import a project from the local GIT repository to the workspace, please follow these steps.
Step 4. Choose one of the available repositories and press Next.
If the necessary repository is not in the list, you can add it.
Step 5. Choose the necessary option for import and press Next.
You have to choose between three import options:
- Import existing Eclipse projects allows importing the projects existing in the selected repository by looking and finding .fglproject files (this is the easiest way to import projects and, thus, the most widely used option);
- Import using the New project wizard↓ starts the New Project wizard so that you can add a project which is not stored in any GIT repository;
- Import as general project↓ allows generating a new project by name in case when no .fglproject files are available and none of the New Project wizards suits your needs.
Step 6. You can import a whole folder of projects.

Import via the New Project wizard
This wizard is used when no .fglproject files are available but you want to add the project to your workspace (and then to a GIT repository).
You can launch it at Step 5 ↑ by choosing the corresponding option:
Step 2. Import the project following the wizard steps.
E.g.,

here you can learn how to import files, programs, and libraries;
and here you can learn how to work with CVS.
Import as general project
This wizard is used when no .fglproject files are available but none of the New Project wizards suits your needs.
You can launch it at Step 5 ↑ by choosing the corresponding option:
After this, the wizard will generate a new project with the name you specify:
By default, this newly generated project will be created in the working directory of the selected local GIT repository.
