4GL is the default LyciaStudio perspective - it opens when you run LyciaStudio for the first time after installation.
If necessary, you can change the default perspective in the General preferences: Perspectives page.
4gl perspective includes 6 views and the code editor:
4Gl Project → |
holds all the project files and resources systematize by the programs they are added to and allows manipulating these files and programs |

Project Explorer → |
provides a hierarchical view of the resources in the workbench; allows working with projects in general and manipulating their separate files |

Problems → |
displays warnings and errors encountered when building a project together with their relevant information (like resources, paths, and locations, etc.) |
|
Console → |
is a build-in console; displays the output of all the procedures performed from LyciaStudio (like building or deploying applications) as well as the console output for applications run from LyciaStudio |
|
Outline → |
displays the elements of the model in a tree-like hierarchical view |
|
Properties → |
displays properties and their values for the selected items |
