As the holiday season is upon us, we would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your trust and support throughout this year. Your loyalty and partnership mean the world to us.
May your Christmas be filled with joy, love, and laughter, and may the New Year bring you health, happiness, and success in all your endeavors.
We will continue to create all the best tools and solutions for your 4GL development, and we look forward to achieving new milestones together with you in the coming year. Ensuring your success is our vocation!
We keep up our hard work! With great pride, we look back at this year’s achievements.
First of all, we have continued advancing our revolutionary product, Lycia LowCode. In particular, we’ve added the following:
- Non-ANSI JOIN (WHERE): LowCode now supports managing multiple views / tables simultaneously by defining their relationships through a
WHERE
clause; - Automated Form Generation: Generation of forms from database table(s) while maintaining a consistent style using form templates;
- Action Scopes: You can declare actions for specific dialog scopes such as
DIALOG
,INSERT
,UPDATE
, orCONSTRUCT
; - SQL Operations & Business Logic: Integrate business logic to run before or after SQL operations such as
BEGIN WORK
,COMMIT WORK
,ROLLBACK WORK
,UPDATE
,INSERT
, andDELETE
; - Wildcards for BEFORE, AFTER, and ON CHANGE: Simplify field entry validation by processing it in a single function, reducing code complexity;
- Zoom & Lookups: Low Code can fully provide static and conditional Zoom & Lookup functionality.
Lycia Front-End:
- BLOB Spreadsheet viewer and editor for CSV files with client-side printing (including PDF support);
- Circular and Indeterminate ProgressBars;
- Pivot Table for getting valuable insights from data;
- Aspect ratio-controlling classes for BlobViewer;
- Fullscreen view for BlobViewer and Table: Users can open any BlobViewer and Table (Display Array / Input Array) in fullscreen mode;
- Support for rectangular QR-codes with arbitrary colors.
Lycia VS Code Extension and Form Builder:
- Built-in extension MediaViewer for images and PDF files;
- New Project view in FGL Project Explorer, based on Project / Program folder view (in addition to the Program view);
- Data type units editor: The data type units (for instance, for DATETIME) can now be defined using a graphical tool in Form Builder;
- Widget morphing.
Other:
-
Integration with REST API: Lycia provides an
IMPORT
function to simplify the integration of an entire REST API from a web service. This ensures that a web client written in Lycia can be seamlessly updated with each change to the web service API by simply recompiling the code.-
Integrating AI into your Lycia applications is simple: IMPORT the AI’s REST API and seamlessly utilize it within your program.
-
- Localization and Translation: Lycia and LowCode offer robust functionality to fully localize your application, including translations and adapting its content and features to the language, culture, and preferences of your target audience for an enhanced user experience;
- Performance optimization when building programs using a DB-Schema file (without database);
- Central / common application object cache location and management to improve the deployment time by reducing the overall size of the deployed application;
- C Interface: Include standard or custom C libraries in your application using the wrapper functions;
- Distributed messaging in Lycia integration with ZeroMQ;
- Extended support for the form FGL literals: Today, Current, and CurrentTime;
- Lycia OpenAPI 2 schema has been upgraded to OpenAPI 3.
Warmest wishes to you and your loved ones this holiday season!
Sincerely,
Querix.
